The individual or small group, which claims Pakistani origin, distinguishes itself by directly engaging with media outlets to publicize breaches and expose cybersecurity weaknesses, rather than solely relying on dark web forums for advertising stolen data. Their primary objective is the financial profit derived from selling these exfiltrated datasets on underground marketplaces. Notably, Gnosticplayers has at times negotiated with breached companies to withhold the sale of stolen data.
