The group is distinguished by its adaptive use of multi-stage infection chains, often exploiting current employment trends to craft convincing lures. While previously known for deploying commodity malware such as Agent Tesla and Quasar RAT, BatShadow has evolved to leverage its custom-developed Go-based malware, Vampire Bot, for system surveillance and data exfiltration, frequently aiming to compromise and hijack Facebook business accounts. Some sources also refer to the group as BatShade.
